Mario Eskenazi was born in Córdoba (Argentina) in 1945. He studied architecture in his hometown and his first job as a graphic designer was in Canal 10’s design team (Córdoba). Following the arrival of the military dictatorship and the closing of television, he decided to move to Europe in 1971. He first worked as an architect and lecturer in Las Palmas (Gran Canaria) and finally settled in Barcelona. He made his first works alongside America Sánchez and Carlos Rolando. He worked in advertising agencies and developed the visual identity of Banca Catalana, thus gaining popularity. Once he got several recurrent customers, he decided to create his own studio in 1979. He has developed the corporate identity of companies such as Banco Sabadell and the editorial design of Ediciones Paidós. The communicative power of his projects earned him the Premio Nacional de Diseño in 2000.
